In the age of social media we think it’s easy to spot a fake from ten scrolls away – but what if WE are actually the fake? What if our attempts at authenticity (because the magazine said that’s what we should do) is actually denying us our true value and worth? Leadership & Soft Skills

Leading as an Introvert

Host: Linda Bayfield
Masterclass: Thursday 14 July 2022
Time: 12-1.30pm

When you hear “leader,” what kind of person do you envision? An outgoing, charismatic leader standing in front of a crowd?

If so, you’re not alone.

In a UC Berkeley study, researchers discovered that people tend to hire and promote those with extroverted personality traits (assertive, forceful, and self-assured) to leadership roles.

The key for introverted leaders, then, is to take the things they’re naturally good at – deep thinking, empathy, and the ability to listen – and augment those skills with a strategic dose of extroversion. If you’re able to strike the right balance, you’ll develop a leadership style that is uniquely suited for the modern workplace.

This session, designed for introverts or those who work with introverts, offers the key to unlocking your leadership potential.
