Every week, members of The Rural Woman can join in on LIVE online training and mentoring sessions hosted by some of Rural Australia’s leading experts who have been selected for their subject matter expertise in business, leadership and personal growth. This training is designed to grow their business, connect with each other and assist on our journey to #bloomwhereweareplanted.

About Our Speaker Julia:

Julia Spicer (prev. Telford) is a vibrant rural woman. Founder of two regional businesses based in Goondiwindi, Qld – Engage & Create Consulting and the Goondiwindi Business Hub; Julia’s mission is to contribute to the vibrancy and viability of rural and regional Australia by helping businesses grow. Through strategic planning, coaching and online courses; Julia does just that. With the company of her husband & a menagerie of animals both large and small, Julia’s passion may be spread far and wide but her home truly is her happy place.

Each month we focus on a specific topic, designed to help you develop strategy and structure for business growth and development. The information provide is general in nature and can be applied to all businesses regardless of size – it will be as relevant to a business ready to scale as it is for a start up or micro-business founder.

In addition to being provide with specific content on the topic, our HOSTS provide mentoring LIVE in the online session AND you can connect with the other rural women who join the call.

Vision & Values

Subject Matter Content Webinar – 90mins inc Q&A

Determining your values and defining what success means to you is the very first step when planning for success! If you don’t know what both of those things actually mean to you personally for your business, then how do you know where to go, what to prioritise or who to work with? So join Jules and dive deep through a guided, action packed hour and complete the session with your values defined, knowing exactly what success means to YOU and having developed a clear, consise One Liner that will become your yardstick for any and all business decisions.

What you will learn:

1. Identify your individual values in business

2. Define what success means to you for your business

3. Develop your ‘One Liner’ to help you make decisions and take action that’s in line with your values & what success means to you!

4. Run through a Lean Business Canvas Model activity that you can then go and complete later on

The Big Picture

CNM Room 90mins (10min power session and 6 x 10min 1:1)
11.15am – 12.45pm

Now’s the time to make a cuppa (or pour a wine!) and dive deep into what you want your business to be long term. Jules will guide you through key questions like what’s the end goal? selling the business for a profit? leaving a legacy? your children taking over? do you have a huge company or a small team? how profitable are you? do you partner with any charities or causes close to your heart? how structured is your business – could you take a month off and still get paid / have happy clients? All these things are what you need to think about when you set up your Big Picture – which is also a key measure of success and determined by your values and HOW you want to live your life. All this work is so connected!

What you will learn:

We are firm beleivers in quality over quantity, so will provide just one (but a very important one!) key takeaway for this 10min power session – and that is our Big Picture Exercise.

The One Thing

So now you know what your values are, exactly what success means to YOU and have developed your One Liner; let’s get to the specifics. What do you need to do to actually get there?? In this session we’ll break it down into easy, bit sized chunks to get you where you want to go as well as learn some other tips and tricks to help along the way.

What you will learn:

1. Stress Testing Business Goals using The One Thing Goal Setting technique

2. Letter to Future Self exercise

3. Accepting an Award exercise

4. Positive anchors: setting passwords to your goal etc
